Season Highlights
Opening Day of the 2010 season of the Newport International Polo
Series will be a proud moment for the Dominican Republic as
they make their debut against USA on Saturday, June 5th
at 5:00 pm. June will also
feature Newport’s archrivals from Scotland, who will return
to defend their latest victory against USA.
The Polo Series runs continuously
every Saturday through the rest of the summer, with an international
line-up that includes the debut of the Netherlands in July,
followed by teams from Ireland, Australia, Jamaica,
and England as well as rivals from the Northeast.
Special events during 2010 season
include the Newport Polo Club’s annual Asado Lamb Roast
on July 24th following USA vs. Ireland, the
International Polo Charity Ball on Aug.6th, the
annual Lobsterbake by McGrath's on Aug.7th
following USA vs. Australia, and the annual Jerk Grill on
Aug.21st following USA vs. Jamaica. For more information

Tickets are available through our new online box office, or at the
gate on the day of the match. General Admission for tailgate
picnics on the lawn seating or grandstand seating is $10.00 for
adults and children 15 & under are free. Tickets for box seating in
the Subscribers Enclosure are $15. For more information about the

The Series takes place on the
outskirts of Newport at historic Glen Farm in Portsmouth, where the
last 100 picturesque acres of what was once a 700-acre manorial farm
during the Gilded Age, are preserved today as an equine center and
recreational community property of the Town of Portsmouth. It is
located six miles north of downtown Newport on Route 138.
